Opinel No. 05 "Tradition Stainless Steel" Folding Knife
The No. 05 completes the "Tradition" series of small knives. It offers excellent cutting quality thanks to its stainless steel blade. Small Opinel models are very useful for sewing, sculpting, model making, or as a paper knife. With its 6cm blade, it's perfect for everyday use.
The traditional Opinel blade is called a Yatagan blade (after Turkish sabers) with its upturned point, which guarantees great strength.
Blade: Martensitic stainless steel, hardness 55-57 HRC, European origin.
The blade offers excellent sharpness and high wear resistance, allowing it to withstand regular contact with hard materials, such as ceramics, before needing resharpening.
Blade opens with a thumbnail.
Beechwood handle, sourced from French forests because it is hard and durable. The handle is varnished to prevent soiling and for better protection against moisture. Safety lock: pin.
Important: Carbon steel blades are very susceptible to corrosion. They must be dried after each use and oiled regularly.
Blade: 4 cm
Handle: 5.6 cm
