Opinel No. 7 VRI beechwood knife + Baroudeur "Origins range" link
Opinel N°07 VRI knife with a pierced handle fitted with a lace for easy hanging.
The smooth yatagan-type blade is made of martensitic stainless steel with a hardness of 55-57HRC from Europe. It has an ice-polished finish, with double polishing to create a mirror effect.
The blade has an excellent cutting edge and high resistance to wear, enabling it to withstand regular contact with hard materials such as ceramics before needing to be re-sharpened. Opening with thumb nail.
The handle is made of varnished beechwood with a leather cord.
Beech is the most commonly used wood for Opinel handles. PEFC certified, it comes from sustainably managed forests in the Jura and Vercors regions. It is hard, durable, and easy to work. With a uniform appearance, its light color ranges from yellow to pink. It is recognizable by the presence of numerous small dark streaks. The handle is varnished for better protection against moisture and dirt.
With Virobloc safety ring: one fixed part and one sliding part. In addition to locking the blade in the open position (for safe use), it is now possible to lock the blade in the closed position (for safe transport).
Dimensions: blade 8 cm, closed knife 10 cm, total length 18 cm
