Opinel No. 05 "Tradition Carbon" Folding Knife

The Opinel No. 05 knife offers excellent cutting quality thanks to its carbon steel blade. Small Opinel models are very useful for sewing, sculpting, model making, or as a paper knife.
The traditional Opinel blade is called a Yatagan blade (after Turkish sabers) with its upturned point, which guarantees great robustness.

XC90 Carbon Steel Blade: This is a non-alloy steel with a high carbon content. After heat treatment, it achieves excellent hardness, ensuring a perfect edge retention, high wear resistance, and easy resharpening.

Blade opens with a thumbnail.

Beechwood handle, sourced from French forests because it is hard and durable. The handle is varnished to prevent soiling and for better protection against moisture. Safety lock: pin.

Important: Carbon steel blades are very susceptible to corrosion. They must be dried after each use and oiled regularly.
