lionSTEEL knives

It was in the 1980s that Gino Pauletta set up his family's LionSteel cutlery business in Maniago, Italy.

Initial production revolved mainly around hunting knives made for the Italian market.
At the end of the 20th century, Gino's sons brought in new and innovative ideas, which led to a renewal of the product ranges and the production process: new technologies, cutting-edge design software and IT solutions were adopted.
The early years of the 21st century also marked a turning point in the product range.
The "EDC" (Every Day Carry) knives, ideal for everyday use, found their way into the pocket or bag of their users, and became the main products.
Fixed knives are solid and effective knives for hiking and bushcraft, often made of sintered steel. They cut like razor blades.

With the new SOLID® knife technology, Lionsteel heralds a new era in the utility knife production process. The robust handles are made from a single piece to achieve the ultimate resistance to wear.

The backbone of Lionsteel continues to be the specialist craftsmen (around 20) who work within the company: each unique result requires a great deal of commitment, passion and persistence.
All the knives are made in the Maniago factory: no third-party products are sold, and no production is outsourced. This guarantees meticulous, systematic control over product quality.
