Opinel knife N° 7VRI
This pocket knife will allow you to cut and peel chestnuts, but also to peel garlic cloves, or to quickly remove the pits from plums, apricots, cherries... by making an incision on the fruit.
An Opinel knife with a modified Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel blade, hardness 57-58 HRC, 9 4cm in the shape of a short pointed bird's beak
easy to maintain and razor sharp.
The traditional Opinel blade is called the Yatagan blade (after the Turkish swords) with its raised tip which guarantees great robustness.
Handle in chestnut. The handle is varnished to prevent soiling and for better protection against humidity. Excellent resistance over time.

*The Virobloc safety ring, invented in 1955 by Marcel Opinel, is used on all closing knives from N°06 onwards.
The Virobloc is cut from stainless steel, and consists of two parts: a fixed part and a sliding part.
In addition to locking the blade in the open position (safe to use), it is also possible to lock the blade in the closed position for safe transport.
