Opinel N°8 Tradition Lx knife

An Opinel knife with an 8cm stainless steel blade, hardness 57-58 HRC, for all your everyday tasks,
easy to maintain and razor sharp.
The traditional Opinel blade is called the Yatagan blade (after Turkish swords), with its raised tip guaranteeing great strength.
The handle is made from oak, a hard, strong wood from French forests. The handle is varnished to prevent soiling and protect against damp.
Stainless steel Virobloc safety ring locks the blade in the open or closed position.

*The Virobloc safety ring, invented in 1955 by Marcel Opinel, is fitted to all closing knives from N°06 onwards. 
 The Virobloc is cut out of stainless steel and is made up of two parts: a fixed part and a sliding part. 
 In addition to locking the blade in the open position (safety in use), it is also possible to lock the blade in the closed position for transport safety.
