Opinel N° 10 VRI corkscrew 3-piece knife
An Opinel knife with a martensitic stainless steel blade from Europe, hardness 57-58 HRC, 10cm long, versatile and always useful for your outings and picnics.
easy to maintain and razor sharp.
The traditional Opinel blade is called the Yatagan blade (after the Turkish swords) with its raised tip guaranteeing great strength.
Opening with thumbnail. The blade has an excellent cutting edge for cutting sausage and cheese. Highly resistant to wear, enabling it to withstand regular contact with hard materials such as ceramics before needing to be re-sharpened.
Beech handle: This is the wood most commonly used to make Opinel knives and comes from the Vercors and Jura regions. The light colour can vary from yellow to pink with small dark stripes. The handle is varnished to protect it from dirt and damp.
The handle is fitted with a professional 5-turn stainless steel wick and a steel rod for uncapping bottles and hanging the knife.
Stainless steel Virobloc safety ring locks the blade in the open or closed position.
Supplied in an individual box (berlingot).
Blade: 10cm
Handle: 13cm
*The Virobloc safety ring, invented in 1955 by Marcel Opinel, is fitted to all closing knives from N°06 onwards.
The Virobloc is cut out of stainless steel and is made up of two parts: a fixed part and a sliding part.
In addition to locking the blade in the open position (safety in use), it is also possible to lock the blade in the closed position for transport safety.
