Opinel Serpette N° 10VRI
An Opinel knife with a modified Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel blade, hardness 57-58 HRC of 10cm for harvesting and pruning.
Easy to maintain and razor sharp.
The traditional curved blade of the Opinel is called the Yatagan blade (after the Turkish swords) with its raised point which guarantees great robustness.
The handle is made of beech wood from French forests because it is hard and resistant. The handle is varnished to prevent soiling and for better protection against humidity.
Stainless steel Virobloc safety ring with blade lock in open or closed position.
Hole at the back for a cord.
Blade: 10cm
Handle: 12cm
Weight: 70 g
Made in France
*The Virobloc safety ring, invented in 1955 by Marcel Opinel, is used on all closing knives from N°06 onwards.
The Virobloc is cut from stainless steel, and consists of two parts: a fixed part and a sliding part.
In addition to locking the blade in the open position (safe to use), it is also possible to lock the blade in the closed position for safe transport.
