Opinel "Tradition" No. 7 VRI Beechwood Knife
The smooth yatagan-style blade is made of martensitic stainless steel with a hardness of 55-57 HRC, sourced from Europe.
The blade offers excellent sharpness and high wear resistance, allowing it to withstand regular contact with hard materials, such as ceramics, before needing resharpening. It opens with a thumbnail.
The handle is made of beechwood.
Beechwood is the most commonly used wood for Opinel handles. PEFC certified, it comes from sustainably managed forests in the Jura and Vercors regions. It is hard, durable, and easy to work. With a uniform appearance, its light color varies from yellow to pink. It is recognizable by the presence of numerous small dark streaks. The handle is varnished for better protection against moisture and dirt.
With Virobloc safety ring: One fixed part and one sliding part. In addition to locking the blade in the open position (safety during use), it is now possible to lock the blade in the closed position (safety during transport).
Dimensions: Blade 8 cm, Closed knife 10 cm, Overall length 18 cm
Made in Savoie, France
