Product Details

"Le Yatagan Basque" folding knife by Le Fidèle, master cutler in Thiers.

The Yatagan Basque is a regional pocket knife. Originally created for shepherds and tobacco growers in the Southwest, it is characterized by its curved handle and slender blade.
Features a 9.5 cm blade made of 12C27 stainless steel (57-58 HRC hardness) for a durable, resilient edge. Opens via a nail nick.
Finishes: features a spring and blade spine that are entirely hand-guilloché (engraved). The knife cannot close accidentally without deliberate, firm pressure applied to the back of the blade.
Safety: Slip-joint mechanism.
12 cm olive wood handle featuring an inlaid Basque cross (Lauburu) and a stainless steel bolster.

Do not put in the dishwasher.
