Chevalerias Grafting Knife with Pressed Horn Handle

A grafting knife is a surgical tool for plants. Its main function is to perform grafting, a gardening technique that involves inserting a bud or shoot from one plant (the scion) onto the trunk or root of another compatible plant (the rootstock) so that they fuse together.

The carbon steel blade offers an extremely fine, razor-sharp edge but needs to be wiped clean after use to prevent corrosion.

Blade profile: pruning knife shape
Mechanism: Folding with a slip joint, the blade folds manually into the handle without a complex mechanical locking mechanism.

Handle made of light-colored pressed horn with a gilt brass bolster.

Specifications:
Carbon steel blade length: 5 cm
Overall length when open: 11 cm
Blade width: 2.5 mm at the base
Weight: 90 g

100% French-made by Coutellerie Chevalerias
