Fontenille Pataud is one of a group of cutlers from the Thiers area who have come together to perpetuate their mastery and expertise through a knife bearing the name of their town:

The ‘Le Pocket’ range is a Laguiole knife that is neither too small nor too large, with a balanced weight so that it fits incognito in your pocket. It is the big brother of the Laguiole ‘Nature’ knife, and its use is the same thanks to its locking blade. Flexible blade opening and closing mechanism. The blade can be slammed shut as the cutting edge is protected by a fixed stop.

A 160-layer stainless steel twisted Damascus blade with notch (at the end of the handle) in 14C28N steel (hardness 60 HRC), shiny bolster, back of blade, plates and inside of the spring with guilloché.
Blade stop guarantees a very long-lasting cutting edge as, unlike ordinary Laguiole knives, it does not strike the bottom of the knife when closed.

Fossil mammoth ivory handle (Origin: Siberia) taken from the outer crust of the tusk and varying in colour from light to darker brown. Inlaid with the traditional shepherd's cross. Forged spring and bee, Back Lock system.
Numbered warranty certificate and leather pouch.
