Laguiole knife from Fontenille Pataud Gilles® series ‘NATURE ONE HAND’ range
Fontenille Pataud is one of the cutlers from the Thiers basin who have come together to perpetuate this mastery and know-how through a knife bearing the name of their town:
Thiers, the capital of French cutlery for over 6 centuries, and who have built the reputation of French knives by respecting the 3 key ideas: Territoriality, Quality, Morality.
While retaining the traditional forged bee shape of the Laguiole knife, a precision mechanism allows the blade to be locked securely when opened. The hole in the blade makes it easy to open with just one hand.
A matt polished blade in 14C28N steel (hardness 58-59HRC) with ambidextrous notch (at the end of the handle) and hole. Laguiole Fontenille Pataud engraved on the blade.
Matt bolster.
Handle made from black speckled ram's horn with natural irregularities. Traditionally forged bee (not welded), each spring is freehand guilloched.
A precision mechanism locks the blade securely when it is open.
A solid fixed stop allows the blade to be slammed down without damaging the cutting edge.
Supplied with a leather pouch.
Open with just one hand!
