Fontenille Pataud is one of a group of cutlers from the Thiers area who have come together to perpetuate their mastery and expertise through a knife bearing the name of their town:

Shiny blade in Swedish 14C28N Sandvik stainless steel, hardness 58-59 HRC.
Bright mitres.
Mammoth molar ivory handle (Siberian origin), material taken from the outer bark of the tooth.
Plated on red interleaf.
Spring: Forged bee, entirely chiselled with a file (unique piece). The springs have a blade stop, which prevents the blade from becoming blunt when closed.
The plates, blade and inside of the spring are fully chiselled and brightly polished.
Supplied with a leather pouch.
