Capuchadou® 2-piece folding knife, Gilles® by Fontenille Pataud
Fontenille Pataud is one of a group of cutlers from the Thiers area who have come together to perpetuate this mastery and expertise through a knife bearing the name of their town:
Thiers, the capital of French cutlery for over 6 centuries, and who have built the reputation of French knives by respecting the 3 key ideas: Territoriality, Quality, Morality.
Before the arrival of Laguiole, Aubrac already had its own knife called the ‘Capuchadou’. The farmers of the past used it for all their daily tasks, from eating to looking after their animals and defending themselves. The Fontenille Pataud workshop has reissued and reinterpreted the Capuchadou, the ancestor of the Laguiole, for you.
