Fontenille Pataud ‘LE PRADEL’ range pocket knife

Fontenille Pataud is one of the cutlery makers from the Thiers area who have come together to perpetuate this mastery and know-how through a knife bearing the name of their town:
Thiers, the capital of French cutlery for over 6 centuries, and who have built the reputation of French knives by respecting the 3 key ideas: Territoriality, Quality, Morality.

This is a reinterpretation of the famous knife that was widely used in the west of France at the beginning of the 20th century. Taking inspiration from the historic model, Fontenille-Pataud has designed a sober, modern knife. Its discreet rear pump blade locking system ensures that you can use it in complete safety. The Pradel, like its ancestor, will be discreet in your pocket but effective in everyday use.

A matt polished blade in 14C28N steel (hardness 58-59HRC) with notches at the end of the handle. Pradel by Fontenille Pataud engraved on the blade.
Matt-finish bolsters.
Handle: Stabilised red poplar burl. Stabilised wood is saturated with synthetic resin using a special vacuum process. Stabilised poplar therefore has the technical qualities of a resin but retains all its aesthetic qualities.
The spring with its rear pump blade locking system is made from 3 mm thick Z20c13 stainless steel. It has a solid blade stop to prevent damage to the cutting edge.
Supplied with a leather pouch.
