Spyderco "COBOL" Folding Knife by Paul Alexander
Paul Alexander has become one of Spyderco's most popular and prolific designers.
He created the COBOL, an everyday carry (EDC) knife with a ball-joint locking mechanism and a striking Asian-inspired aesthetic.
The curved blade is a hybrid of the traditional Japanese tanto and the katana-style point of the American tanto. It features an M390 stainless steel blade with a saber-shaped main bevel.
At the opposite end of the blade is an elongated tang for one-handed opening, similar to a straight razor.
The handle is made of titanium scales with integrated spring arms and ball bearings. When the knife is opened, the ball bearings engage in side holes to hold the blade securely in place. The pressure of the hand on the tip of the blade and the wide ricasso at the base of the edge ensure a secure and comfortable grip. Locking mechanism: Split
Reversible pocket clip for left- or right-handed carry with the handle pointing upwards.
