Windmühlenmesser Ibex 60S folding knife – stainless steel and beechwood handle
A compact, smooth-operating, and lightweight EDC knife featuring a traditional Solingen spring mechanism.
Its construction remains consistent: like the locking IBEX model, the spring is external and integral to the design. With the new slipjoint versions available with 6 cm or 8 cm blades the IBEX range now offers two different mechanisms.
Efficient for everyday tasks.
Features a 6 cm plain-edge blade made of X50CrMoV15 (or 1.4116) stainless steel; these are simply two different designations for the same material. It offers a hardness of approximately 57 HRC, is rust-resistant, and easy to maintain. The blade features a "sheep's foot" profile and a slipjoint locking system (a traditional two-handed mechanism with a nail nick).
The IBEX blade benefits from a stable geometry thanks to its convex grind. It has a thickness of 1.7 mm. Following the grinding and polishing stages, the blade spine tapers, and the edge receives its final sharpening, optimized for exceptional durability and cutting performance.
Natural beechwood handle: a light-colored, dense wood traditionally used in Germany for tools. It offers an excellent grip and a rustic aesthetic.
The wood is heat-treated, making it resistant to the elements, microorganisms, fungi, and insects.
