Fox-Wihongi Moa Karambit by Jared Wihongi folding knife with glass breaker
Jared Wihongi
Jared Wihongi is a full-time International Close Combat Instructor (CQC). His TRICOM combat system is an integration of edged and impact weapons, unarmed combat and firearms tactics. Jared has trained in several traditional martial arts for 40 years and is a senior Tuhon (Master) in a Filipino blade-based martial art called Pekiti-Tirsia Kali.
Jared worked 23 years as a police officer and operator in three SWAT teams in the United States, and was engaged as an Army Special Forces Combat Instructor for nearly two decades. These experiences have strongly influenced his approach to teaching self-defence.
The Karambit knife comes to us from Asia (the Philippines and Indonesia) with its distinctive design reminiscent of a lion's or tiger's claw.
It's a defensive knife that can be gripped horizontally, but it can also be used for outdoor activities such as fishing, hunting, camping or as an outdoor knife.
This is a smooth curved blade with a black Idroglider finish in N690Co steel, hardness 58/60 HRC, with an internal notch that's easy to sharpen. Fox logo engraved on the blade.
Blade hook on top is serrated to prevent the thumb from slipping.
Black G10 handle with fingerprints for optimum grip.
Safety ring at the back for index finger.
AISI 420 black Teflon steel clip, AISI 303 black idroglider stainless steel screw.
When the Karambit knife is held in a pocket by the clip, you can pull the ring to remove the knife from the pocket and open the blade at the same time (thanks to the hook on the back of the blade).
Supplied with a Fox sheath.
