Windmühlenmesser "K1" Paring Knife – Plum Wood Handle, Stainless Steel Blade
The K1 model reimagines the classic Solingen paring knife silhouette, featuring a straight spine and a dropped point. It is the ideal tool for cutting-board tasks, such as peeling, finely chopping herbs, and precisely slicing fruits and vegetables.
Knives in the K-series feature stainless steel blades with a 0.7% carbon content and a hardness of 60 HRC (Rockwell scale). The blade undergoes a "blue polishing" (*Blaupließten*) process. Long considered the most sophisticated technique among Solingen grinders, this process gives the blades an iridescent blue sheen.
The iridescent mirror-finish surface smooths the metal at a microscopic level, eliminating friction against food.
The plum wood handle, secured with aluminum rivets, is distinguished by its curved, oval shape.
The handle is made of plum wood a particularly hard, dense, and water-resistant timber. Its natural, marbled hues shift beautifully between tawny brown, red, and purple undertones.
Do not place in the dishwasher.
