Windmühlenmesser "K0" Bird's Beak Knife – 7 cm Plum Wood Handle
A precision turning and peeling knife. Its curved, claw-like blade is specially designed to follow the contours of round fruits and vegetables.
The blade features the signature Solingen *Dünnschliff* (fine-grind) convex edge.
Knives in the K-series feature stainless steel blades with a 0.7% carbon content and a hardness of 60 HRC (Rockwell scale). The blade undergoes a "blue polishing" process. Long considered the most sophisticated technique in the Solingen grinding trade, this process gives the blades an iridescent blue sheen.
The mirror-like, iridescent finish smooths the metal at a microscopic level, eliminating friction against food.
The plum wood handle, secured with aluminum rivets, is distinguished by its curved, oval shape.
The handle is made of plum wood a particularly hard, dense, and water-resistant timber. Its natural, marbled hues shift beautifully between tawny brown, red, and purple undertones.
Do not place in the dishwasher.
