Laguiole knife by Fontenille Pataud Gilles® series "Tradition" in 12 cm

Fontenille Pataud is one of the cutlers of the Thiers basin who have come together to perpetuate this mastery and know-how through a knife bearing the name of their city:
Thiers, the capital of French cutlery for more than 6 centuries and who have made the reputation of French knives by respecting the 3 key ideas: Territoriality, Quality, Morality.
The knives in this collection are made in the Fontenille Pataud workshops and are guaranteed for life, a knife with two bolsters perfect for everyday use.
Traditional 12cm Laguiole knife signed Gilles. Handcrafted in France in our cutlery shop, this Laguiole knife has a blade stop that protects its edge when closing the knife and a forged bee. The spring of this Laguiole is entirely hand-engraved.
The blade is made of 12C27 stainless steel, hardness 56-57HRC, with a notch opening on the blade.
The forged bee spring (no welding) is freehand guilloched and has a blade stop. It is entirely hand chiselled (guilloched). Made of 3mm thick stainless steel, hardened and polished inside.
The 12cm handle is made of burr juniper (origin: Cévennes, very pleasantly scented wood), 8mm thick per plate, with its traditional inlaid cross which, according to legend, the shepherds of the Massif Central used their knife planted in the ground to pray, this cross remains a distinctive sign of the Laguiole knife.
Plates and Bolster: solid stainless steel on 1.2mm thick plates.
