Smith's Diamond Edge 2 electric knife sharpener

This Diamond Edge sharpener, very efficient and easy to use, is a perfect tool to keep the cutting edge of most of your knives in excellent condition.

It has two grinding wheels: a diamond monocrystalline grinding wheel for electric grinding and crossed ceramic stones for manual finishing

Diamond grinding wheels allow the hardest steels and the most blunt blades to be sharpened permanently without damaging them. The blade guides allow the knife to be held at the ideal angle during the operation. Two passages are provided, one for each side of the blade.

After this step, the ceramic stones crossed in the blade guide of the manual part allow a careful finishing of the sharpening. These ceramic stones remove all burrs left on the blade and give it a razor sharp and durable edge. 
This part can also be used to hold the edge of an already sharpened or little used blade.
