Boker History Matrosenmesser fixed knife  

The History Knife & Tool is the most iconic and original knife in the international merchant navy. The German Navy still uses these knives today. A functional knife using traditional ebony plates resistant to the water of the marine environment.

The blade is made from white 14116 steel and has a slightly rounded Drop Point shape.
Ebony wood handle with two brass rivets and a hole for a cord.

Stitched black leather case with belt loop.

Horace Sowers Kephart (1862-1931), travel and outdoor writer, is considered, along with George Washington Sears and Henry David Thoreau, to be one of the pioneers and precursors of modern bushcraft. The Kephart knife he developed, now celebrated by experts, has an outer contour very similar to that of the Sailor's Knife.
