Windmühlenmesser "Buckels" Knife – Cherry Wood Handle, Stainless Steel Blade
The legendary round-tipped "Buckels" knife is a classic German table knife one of the company's oldest and most famous models.
It is the ideal knife for breakfast and brunch.
It features a wide blade with a fully rounded tip. Its shape is specifically designed for both slicing and spreading. The rounded tip allows for clean scooping of butter, jam, or rillettes, while the razor-sharp, smooth edge slices perfectly through bread, cold cuts, and cheese without tearing them.
The blade is forged from chromium-molybdenum-vanadium stainless steel (1.4116 steel) with a hardness of 56–57 HRC. This stainless alloy withstands contact with meat juices, blood, or cooking sauces; the knife will not oxidize. It features a slightly convex grind.
"Blue polishing" (*Blaupließten*): This bluish finish represents the pinnacle of Solingen’s artisanal craftsmanship. It is an extremely complex and rare blade-finishing technique that the Robert Herder manufactory is one of the last in the world to master and teach.
Cherry wood handle: a local wood with reddish-brown hues, a silky feel, and excellent durability for daily use.
Knife features three aluminum rivets.
Do not place in the dishwasher.
