Sakin Damascus 67-Layer Nakiri Knife
The Japanese Nakiri knife features a tall, completely rectangular blade—Japanese in both shape and inspiration—with a blunt tip and a length typically ranging from 17 to 19 cm. Furthermore, the cutting edge is very often perfectly parallel to the spine of the blade.
It is often referred to simply as a "vegetable knife" due to its height, which allows the blade to function like a spatula for transferring sliced food from the cutting board to a container.
Knives in the Sakin range feature a 67-layer Damascus steel blade with a 10Cr15CoMoV stainless steel core. With a hardness of 60 HRC, the blade offers excellent edge retention while remaining easy to sharpen. The flat grind ensures precise cutting.
Symmetrical blade with a 15° edge angle per side (30° total).
The handle is crafted from resin, carbon fiber, and gold leaf ("Sakin" means gold dust) and features a mirror-polished finish.
Two stainless steel rivets, a mosaic rivet, and a stainless steel bolster and end cap make this knife truly unique.
Each knife comes in a presentation box.
