A tool already in use in the trenches of the First World War. The Chogan Mattock was used by the British infantry. The head can be removed from the handle for easier storage.
1055 carbon steel blade with black anti-corrosion coating (manganese phosphate). 
5.4cm adze blade for scraping and cutting or use the point for penetration tasks.
Handle made from Tennessee Hickory wood, a dense material that stands up to intensive use.
The handle is burnt to add dark textures.
