Boker Appalachian axe

Boker's Appalachian axes have a Rhenish-shaped head made from 1055 carbon steel. The strength of the blade can be used for both felling and splitting.
The lower tip can be used as a turning nose for pieces of wood. A protective varnish protects against rust.
A weight of 600 g has been chosen for the heads of the two axes.
The 50cm handle is made from American hickory wood (a type of walnut used to make knife handles).
The long handle and the weight of the head mean that the axe strikes faster and penetrates deeper into the wood.
This axe is designed for sustained two-handed work.
