"Le Vengeur" TB Outdoor survival knife by Tarrerias-Bonjean and Philippe PEROTTI 

The Vengeur, designed and manufactured in France, is a double-edged survival knife developed to the specific requirements of the French Army for ALAT aircrew. This ambidextrous, full-silk knife is equipped with tactile detectors on both sides of the knife to help you find your way in the middle of the night. The Vengeur can be used to extricate oneself from a vehicle following an accident, or to rescue or assist accident victims. The serrated blade can be used to cut straps or seatbelts.

The Vengeur features a black, double-edged, military-style blade in a thick 4mm Tanto shape made from 58 HRC hardness Mox® steel, coated with anti-reflective, scratch-resistant black PVD. A durable blade that cuts like a razor blade. Its Tanto shape ensures maximum penetration without weakening the tip. It can also be used for bâtonnage. Easy sharpening with the diamond insert supplied. The serrated part is 3.7cm long, ideal for cutting belts, thick ropes or straps of various sizes. On the upper part of the knife, at the level of the guard, the blade is sharp for about 1.5cm for stripping a wire or cutting small pieces of wood.

The Tan-coloured handle is made from PA6 and contains 30% glass beads. Inside the handle, the glass bead breaks away to reveal a firesteel. Screwed into the cavity of the handle, the firesteel is completely sealed to the knife. 

The knife's direction of use is immediately recognisable just by touching it. The recess where the thumb is positioned has a different texture depending on which way the knife is used. The feel of the texture on both sides of this recess means that the wearer can instantly tell which way the knife is facing, even in total darkness, whether or not gloves are being worn.
The holes on both the breaker and the handle are designed to accommodate Paracord® 550.

The Kydex holster can be worn on the belt, on the chest or on the thigh. It has a pointed cavity for water extraction in the event of immersion. It is compatible with the MOLLE standard.

This product features a special safety system: it is impossible to remove the knife from the wearer if it is in its case. The knife and sheath are held together by a snap-lock system: one male snap on the sheath and a second female snap on the knife handle.
