Plisson, founded in 1808, was the world's first shaving brush manufacturer. Today, with more than two centuries of expertise, it is the global benchmark for shaving brushes and men's beauty products. Plisson was born from the marriage of tablet-making and the shaping of noble materials
such as horn, ivory and exotic woods, and brushmaking, whose work is based on the choice of beautiful materials and the special know-how of fibre placement. 

The Manufacture quickly acquired a high profile and became Napoleon's official supplier. For a long time, the symbol of the brand was the eagle, in homage to Napoleon. Plisson also won awards at numerous World Fairs, notably in 1855 for its stoneware, earthenware and crystal badger brushes.
