Mühle Purist Ebonite Safety Razor

Mühle's Purist range features a slightly rounded silhouette, with a wider neck and a choice of materials such as Carélil curly birch or traditional black. Purist impresses.

The wood used is dried for several months, the pieces are then sanded, oiled and polished to a high gloss surface. The neck and ring are finished in a pronounced chrome finish.

The safety razor head:  
The MÜHLE closed-comb safety razor promises a close and gentle shave. Unlike the open-comb safety razor, the guard has no openings. A gentler shaving technique, suitable for beginners after a few practice sessions.

Hard rubber :
Fine lines meet strong contrast. Deep black meets bright red. Ebonite, a natural material, doesn't like to be pigeon-holed. It looks like marble, but it isn't. In terms of colour, the hard rubber compound, which is made from natural rubber and sulphur, is reminiscent of ebony. The term ebonite is derived from the English name "ebony".
As soon as it is used, the flexible material is already at operating temperature. Until now, it has been popular with music lovers, for example as mouthpieces for saxophones and clarinets, or as piano keys.
The hand-selected woods are shaped by a woodturner. Only the finest specimens are selected and undergo a special treatment to stabilise and then coat the wood. This process makes the wood watertight and resistant. The glossy surfaces bring out every detail of the grain.
