Boker Plus Messerschmitt ME 109 Pocket Knife by Chad Nichols
The ME109 Messerschmitt is an EDC knife for history and aviation lovers. The Messerschmitt the German fighter plane of WWII, it was armed with two 20mm MG FF machine guns in the wings and two 7.92mm MG 17 machine guns mounted directly in front of the pilot and coupled to the propeller shaft of the 1000hp Damler V12 engine. In this way it was possible for the machine guns to fire across the circular path of the rotating propeller without the projectiles hitting the rotating propeller blades.
The steel used to make this knife came from a Messerschmitt shot down by a Royal Air Force Supermarine Spitfire in the UK in 1940 during the Battle of Britain. It has been forged from the steel of the pilot's seat and part of the propeller to create a damask steel.
It can be opened in two ways with the flipper, which is reminiscent of the aircraft's wheels, or with the thumb hole, which is shaped like the cockpit. A Drop Point damascus blade.
