The bottom is equipped with a notch and two holes to evacuate moisture and sawdust.

Silky's Japanese saw blades are made from high quality SK-4 carbon steel and are laser cut. The blades are of unrivalled quality: very hard and strong, they remain soft and bite wood easily: this softness and flexibility comes from the fact that the core of the teeth is made of soft metal.
The chemical composition of the metal in combination with the unique heating and cooling process determines its high hardness. The high carbon content leads to a high wear resistance, so that the cutting edge remains sharp for a very long time.
The blade must be kept clean for optimum efficiency. Resin dissolves with olive oil so your blade will be well maintained, dry your blade and store it in a dry place.
Avoid solvents for the handle
