Opinel knife N° 6VRI oak handle
An Opinel knife with a modified Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel blade, hardness 57-58 HRC of 7cm for all your daily work,
easy to maintain and razor sharp.
The traditional Opinel blade is called the Yatagan blade (after the Turkish swords) with its raised tip which guarantees great robustness.
The handle is made of oak, a wood from French forests because it is hard and resistant. The handle is varnished to prevent soiling and for better protection against humidity.
Stainless steel Virobloc safety ring with blade lock in open or closed position.
Blade: 7 cm
Handle: 9.3cm
Weight: 27 g
*The Virobloc safety ring, invented in 1955 by Marcel Opinel, is fitted to all closing knives from N°06 onwards.
The Virobloc is cut out of stainless steel and is made up of two parts: a fixed part and a sliding part.
In addition to locking the blade in the open position (safety in use), it is also possible to lock the blade in the closed position for transport safety.
