Hultafors HY 10-0.9 felling axe

HULTAFORS Hy 10-0,9 felling axe in Swedish forged steel.

This axe is ideal for light felling (small-section trees) and is made of shot-blasted and varnished forged steel.
The Swedish carbon steel blade is hand-forged in a factory that has been in operation since 1697 in the Hult Valley (south-east Sweden). The axe heads will follow an automated process to be as efficient as possible, modernity combined with the traditions of the forges.
The steel is worked with a large number of strokes, making it more compact and increasing the axe's strength. The tempering process leaves a visible mark within which the axe can be sharpened without weakening the cutting edge.
The handles are made from light brown, linseed oil-treated American Hickory wood, which is excellent for absorbing shocks.
No sheath supplied only a plastic protector.
