The black G10 handle is reminiscent of a Roman *gladius* and features a rounded pommel for a secure, balanced grip. Fine jimping on the spine ensures safe handling. Weight-reducing cutouts at the base of the blade and the pommel lower the overall weight; the rear cutouts also serve as decorative hollow rivets, ideal for attaching a lanyard.
