Bavaria is known to everyone, this state located in the south-east of Germany, on the border of Liechtenstein, Austria and the Czech Republic. Its capital, Munich, is known for the Oktoberfest, the beer festival. It is known for its traditional costumes: the famous "Bavarian panties", the leather panties that stop above the knee and the Tyrolean hat, but do you know the Bavarian folk knife?
It is simply part of the cultural heritage of this region. The particularity of the Bavarian knife is that it rarely exceeds 14cm and fits in the pocket of the hunting trousers called "knicker", very much used in Austria and Germany.
The handle is usually made of deer antler, often with engravings depicting hunting scenes and the pommels are finely decorated with animals, flowers, or anything else that can represent Bavaria.
