HULTAFORS SY SV carpenter's axe in Swedish carbon steel.

The SY SV axe is made from shot-blasted and varnished forged steel. A narrowing next to the handle allows you to hold your right hand over the cutting edge when cutting.
A Swedish carbon steel blade hand-forged in a factory that has been in operation since 1697 in the Hult Valley (south-east Sweden). The steel is worked with a large number of strokes, making it more compact and increasing the axe's strength.
Hardening leaves a visible mark within which the axe can be sharpened without weakening the cutting edge.
The handles are made from light brown, linseed-oil-treated American Hickory wood, which has excellent shock-absorbing properties.
Supplied with a protective leather sheath.
